This is a 9" patchwork bowl which I sold for $80. The words on it are: "This picture reminds me of a boulevard in Paris and makes me wonder whether to reintegrate or break loose and vanish into glorious vagabondage." My future friend Glenn said something like this to me the day he applied for a job in the office where I used to work.
This is a 9" bowl (80) with images based on sheet music, fiddlehead ferns, and architectural elements. The words: "She finished her brandy, took out her guitar, and started singing right there in the restaurant. For just a few minutes heaven swirled around us and unkind earth could not touch us."
This bowl is 9" across and sold for $80. It says, "So what are you going to do?" he asked. "Drive," she replied. I have also made bowls with this phrase on them using car parts for all of the textures.

Patchwork bowl, 10?" $85, with the text "because heaven only exists in rare, short, intoxicating moments," handwritten with stamps used for a couple of the words. Actually, any text could be used on a bowl like this. The main "medallion" motif comes from a medallion that fell off of Eli's Bar at 13th & Hennepin in Downtown Minneapolis. It once was the Bellevue Hotel. Thanks for to Kristine and the owners of the building for letting me have the medallion!
